The Psyche of Pakistani Politics- New Facts

Pakistani politics was mainly controlled by the strong military establishment through direct or indirect interference. Most of the national elections were rigged and no one has come into power without satisfying the military establishment. But this second decade of 21st century is seeing a different and more vibrant Pakistan.

For example, Pakistan's economic hub Karachi was given to MQM for obvious reasons by the Zia military regime and put Karachi into continuous terror. Musharaf and Zardari has given them extreme and unjustified power.Even in the last 30years, MQM has got power to blackmail every government and put the weak leaders as puppet due to their control in Karachi and Hyderabad. They are in a strong to position to put Karachi into terror or peace. MQM politics is all through guns.

Similarly, Lahore was the stronghold of PMLN and they have won almost every elections from this city and rural Sindh is with PPPP.

The new facts are the emergence of new political force in every part of Pakistan. For example, PTI has seven hundred thousand votes in Lahore city against the 1.2 millions votes of PMLN. This is a very serious dent in the stronghold of PMLN. Karachi is no different, for the first time in the history of Pakistan elections, another party other than MQM has got 30% over all polled votes which has made the MQM bhai log in strong anger and despair that they even killed PTI central leader Zohra sayed who was strong critic of MQM. ANP in the KP province has also melted down like ice due to their worst governance every in the history of KP.

Therefore, it is very interesting that the youth of Pakistan has changed every predictions of once undefeated leaders in these areas. This is the birth of new Pakistan. Now if they delivered in KP, no one can stop them to work in as single majority party in the next elections. Now people are more aware than our troubled past, social media has taken the lead to expose the illegal practices in Pakistan politics and society. If this continues, next elections will be the best elections.
